Biz trip in Bejing Feb 08 - sightseeing

I only got few hours for sight-seeing this time but as usual, i tried my best to see as many as possible.
I visited the Temple of the Sun and Tinanmen only.

To avoid the traffic jam within the 2 rings districts, it is good to take the subway.IMG_1101

The Temple of the Sun is acutally a big park with some temples inside.  It was relaxing the walk there and see the local people's lives.

Tianmen Square is the same as what we see on TV/ News. But i found it interesting to see around 50 soldiers are standing still in the subway for tourists picture taking.

finally managed to take some pictures within the loyal & enthusiastic mainland Chinese IMG_1127IMG_1132

it was so co-incident that we were in BJ on the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. That is considered as the last day to celebrate Chinese New Year + Chinese Valentine's day with a full moon.  There were crackers & fireworks everywhere on the street.  Full of happy ambience... i felt so lucky that i can see & experience that!

Biz trip in Beijing Feb 08 - meals

This is the 2nd time I visited Beijing.  The last time I've been there is 10 yrs ago.  I expect great changes in particular becos of the Olympics in this year.  When I got out of the BJ airport, I saw a lot of high-rise commercial buildings. It was shocking me as my impression on BJ was the 10 yrs ago rural look.

Well, China is still China.  I still in the hotel which is so reasonable price RMB 650 per night including breakfast... and the size of the room & bed were soooo big.  I think the bed can be perfectly fine with 6 people at the same time.
