A local Thai bought me and 4 other colleagues to this "modern" style Thai restaurant - Sugar Beet.  It is located in North East of Bangkok which is quite far away from city centre.  However, it is worth to go.  The restaurant is actually under a big tent.  Besides Thai food, you can also choose Italian pizza and Japanese sushi / sashimi.  We of cos ordered the Thai dishes only. 

The food is very nice (honestly i can't say it is the top quality as compared with the others i tried).

The environment is excellent.  We sat outside and like in a jungle area. Now it is the best weather... cold Thailand which is like ~ 24-25 degree. nice breeze.  If you dont like to stay outside, there are air-cond. private room with Karaoke as well.

 Besides, there is a very dim lighting pub with live band.  There are 4 pool tables inside the pub.

The most critical thing that impressed me was ....there is a go-cart course inside the restaurant ~
